The Capital of Vietnam is Hanoi. A person from Vietnam is called Vietnamese.
The Socialist Republic of Vietnam is a country in Southeast Asia. Situated in eastern Indochina, it borders China, Laos, Cambodia, and the South China Sea.
The name of the country comes from the Vietnamese Việt Nam, which is in turn a reordering of Nam Việt, the name of an ancient kingdom of the ancestral Vietnamese that covered much of today's northern Vietnam.
